TIP OF THE WEEK: Let's Talk About ISO

Are your photos looking grainy?

When you shoot in low light your photos may look grainy or even blurry. That’s because photography and light work together. No light, no photo.

Your phone camera will do its best to provide the best photo. When the light is not sufficient it will resort to lowering the shutter speed to let more light in. The longer the shutter stays open the more shake will show.

One way you can help your phone take better photos in low light is to raise the ISO. Go into your manual camera settings (or your third-party app) and raise the ISO number so that the shutter speed remains low.
