Do you know how to frame?
There are various composition techniques in photography. The most widely known one is the rule-of-thirds. You can also use leading lines, negative space, and symmetry to name a few.
There is one composition technique that can quickly lead the eye of the viewer on your photo. Have you ever used elements in your composition to outline or frame your subject? If so, then you have successfully used the framing technique.
Look around you when taking photos. Is there anything in the foreground that can surround your subject, either fully or partially? It can be a window, a bridge, an arch...anything really. Give it a try. You’ll see how much your subject becomes more important in your photo when you frame it.
